Welcome to the Silver Ways Survey

Dear participant,

Thank you for your interest in our survey as part of the Silver Ways research project.

The aim of Silver Ways is to improve the pedestrian-friendliness of cities, especially for older people. We are developing a navigation system tailored to the needs of senior citizens and integrating it into an approach that supports 15-minute accessibility in cities.

This project involves:

Uppsala University (Sweden)
Abdullah Gül University (Türkiye)
Municipalities of Mannheim, Uppsala, and Kayseri

Your participation in this survey will help us gather important information about your route choices and decision criteria when walking. These insights will directly feed into the development of senior-friendly routes and the improvement of urban infrastructure.

We assure you that your details will be treated confidentially and used only for research purposes. Participation is voluntary and can be cancelled at any time.

Our international project Silver Ways is funded by the European Union as part of the Driving Urban Transitions programme and will run from January 2025 to June 2027.
